Just launched: Journal of Agricultural Informatics

From our daily mail. Prof. Dr Miklós Herdon, President of the Hungarian Federation of Agricultural Informatics (www.magisz.org)submitted the following information this morning. A new electronic journal on agricultural informatics has been launched. You can register as reader ad/or author for the journal by clicking on the header. Many of the topics of the Journal of Agricultural Informatics has direct relevance with sensing, gathering, processing and using spatial data.

Hungarian participant at the IGWCO Workshop in New York City

Upon a recent call announced by HUNAGI on January 29 at the hunagi19.blogspot.com and supported by Prof. Dr. Miklós Neményi, Dr. Gabor Milics assistant professor of the University of West Hungary, Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences, Institute of Biosystems Engineering will have the opportunity to take part at the GEO Workshop hosted by the City University of New York. Dr. Milics will provide a short report for the Hungarian GI community on the event.

HUNAGI Conference on FOSS and freely accessible geospatial data

As integrated part of the full day program having working language in Hungarian, a plenary session will be devoted to share experiences and disseminate best practices from abroad by the active participation of experts from the European Umbrella Organisation for Geographic Information (EUROGI), the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC), the HUMBOLDT project and from Austria. In this session the working language will be English.

Hungarian papers accepted for the Digital Earth Summit in Nessebar

The joint paper of members of the National IYPE Committee in Hungary was accepted by the Organising Committee of the Digital Earth Summit. The event is hosted by Bulgaria in Nessebar in June 12-14.
Acceptance has been issued also for the Humboldt project-related abstract submitted by Dániel Kristóf (FÖMI) et al.
